Other information – This attractive species can be found in the mountain region of Alabama. The plant can be identified by its very broad leaves and stalked white flowers.
The genus name Trillium comes from the Latin “trilix” meaning “triple” referring to the parts of the plant being in three’s.
The species epithet flexipes derives from the Latin “flex(i)” meaning “bent, pliant” referring to the stalk of the flower.
